I am kind of obsessed with headwraps right now and I am loving the way my black convertible maxi dress looks paired with it. When I found the one I am wearing from I Wear The Headdress I had to have it. It’s so comfortable and has an amazing fun print! I also love supporting small businesses like my own.
The best thing about my convertible dresses is that you can wear the dress again! Not only is it the best dress to be worn to a wedding or special event but you can dress it down with a pair of flats and be ready for the weekend! Here is a little weekend outfit of the day inspiration. Hope you love it!
I have noticed that a lot of my brides who have purchased my Aubergine convertible gown have had weddings in the Fall or Winter. The Aubergine color can also be worn for a summer or spring wedding. What I would suggest is to bring in some champagne and pink blush colors. Your bridesmaids can hold a bouquet of pink flowers such a peonies or even a cream and white bouquet. This will tone down the Aubergine gown color and give your wedding a soft elegance that you are looking for. Have your bridesmaid paint their nails in a soft pink color such as ballet slippers by Essie and wear a champagne or blush colored heal. I love this combination and I hope you do too!
As a mother I can’t help but to want to dress up my little girl in cute outfits, god knows I won’t be able to do it when she is older. One day after brainstorming with my friend Oona about a photoshoot we were planning we started talking about me making a convertible dress for little girls!! And Voila! The Rosie Convertible Dress (named after my daughter Rosalina) was born!
In my opinion this is the most adorable and fashion forward dress that our mini fashionistas will love to wear over and over again! It is made out of a soft jersey fabric and the long straps have hand dyed matching tassels. Your little girl will have so much fun using her creativity to come up with different styles!
A little Black Dress. An LBD. A Little Black Number. They say no women’s wardrobe is complete without one. My Signature Convertible Little Black Dress is the most versatile dress and you can wear it over 15 different ways. I love the versatility of the convertible dress. You can wear it to a wedding, out on the town, to the beach, or even to work. The possibilities truly are endless.
Even though it is warm most of the year in sunny Florida I still wear darker colors during the winter months. There is something about knowing Spring is here that makes me want to bust out all my spring colors. I paired my Nuova Vita signature convertible maxi dress with a floral crown, a fringe boho handbag, Valentino Rockstud flats, and a pair of amazing round framed sunglasses. I am loving this look for spring, I hope you like it too.
Last weekend I had the pleasure to work with my friend Oona who is an amazing photographer. I am working on a new website and needed new photography. I knew Oona would be able to capture the look I was looking for. I had a vision in my head of a bride in my white signature convertible gown and that vision came to life. It’s amazing how the right accessories can take a simple white convertible gown to another level. I can’t wait to get the pictures up on the website.
If you are loving the crop top trend as much as I am then here is a great way to achieve the look with my Nuova Vita Signature Convertible Gown. I wore my convertible dress as a high waisted skirt and paired it with a Crop Top from the http://www.Dailylook.com. Your outfit is never complete without a bag and my good friend Designer of Jennifer Haley handbags lent me this amazing black and white oversized clutch. Can’t wait to wear this outfit on date night with my husband!
Yesterday was my best friend Cristina’s baby shower. When she asked me to make her a Nuova Vita Signature Convertible Gown in a light pink for her baby shower I was thrilled! Instead of making her dress in my standard silk jersey material I used a cotton jersey. I knew she was going to love wearing it and that she would look stunning in the dress. I am so excited to meet her baby girl! Our girls are going to be best friends.
Like many of us, JD and Alexis met through a mutual friend but both were focusing on their careers at the time. Alexis is a publicist and had just completed a book dedicated to singles and JD was focusing on his ministry. Doesn’t it always seem that you meet the person you are going to end up with when you are focusing on everything and anything but LOVE. Neither one of them were looking to start a relationship but after much persuasiveness from their mutual friend they finally met and hit it off. They were inseparable there after, but like many couples they had their highs and their lows. All couples deal with their differences differently, but Alexis and JD’s faith brought them through and after 2 years of dating they were engaged and married.
On July 13 2013 Alexis and JD tied the knot at the beautiful Mary Ann & Bruce Belin Chapel on the campus of Houston Baptist University. They held a fun filled reception at Treebeard’s in Downtown Houston Texas. Alexis chose to outfit her wedding party in our champagne convertible gown dresses which complimented the weddings color scheme of eggplant, creams, and burnt orange with silver accents.
I came across this quote from Alexis and it inspired me. I was lucky enough to find my true Love young but for all who are still looking never give up. It makes the world go round and changes everything.
“Without faith, you will only trust what your circumstance shows you. Without hope, you will believe the circumstance can never change. And without love, you will never attempt to bring change to your circumstance.”-Alexis Herron
I wish Alexis and JD a lifetime of happiness and hope all your dreams come true as husband and wife. Thank you for letting me share a small part in your wedding and outfitting your bridesmaids!
